The Gorge Story
Where it all began
In 2019, I (Bec) married Joel, I then started a business called Gorge (www.gorgemagazines.co.nz). Because I couldn't find a modern album to store my wedding photos in. This shaped to be the perfect home job for me whilst being pregnant through 2019/2020 and then working as a stay at home mum.

I'm a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend. My little family consists of Joel (hubby), Beau (nearly 4) & Aisha (nearly 2), and a big fur ball German Shepherd called Ziggy. Raised on a deer farm in the Kaimais, which I loved, I always dreamt of living at the beach. Most of my working career was in the real estate industry, doing office administration and marketing type jobs. I tried to sell houses, but noooo I hated it! I have lived and worked in London, which was absolutely epic! Traveled loads!
I also have a photography business, www.bechodgson.com. After looking at millions of photos taken by incredible photographers for 5+ years, I only just realised my newfound career as a photographer last April 2023. I'm self-taught and have always had a creative streak in my blood. So, there you have it, the little story behind Gorge. Have a beautiful day!
